Another year older, huh? Seems like just yesterday I was changing your diapers… and by yesterday, I mean a very long time ago because Momma’s back is starting to feel it these days! Seriously though, where does the time go? It feels like I blinked and now you’re adult-ish and making your own questionable life choices. Just kidding (mostly)!

But let’s be real, birthdays can be a mixed bag. You’re supposed to be all happy and grateful, but deep down you’re thinking, “Great, another year closer to needing reading glasses and complaining about my knees.” And the pressure to have the perfect Instagram-worthy celebration? Forget about it! Between finding the right filter and pretending you actually like that expensive cake, it’s exhausting.

You know how it is when it’s someone’s birthday – you want to make them feel special, right? And if that someone is Gujarati, well, a generic “Happy Birthday” just doesn’t quite cut it. It’s like serving dhokla without chutney… something’s definitely missing!

But searching for the perfect Gujarati birthday wish can be surprisingly frustrating. You trawl through websites, trying to decipher phrases or find something that *actually* sounds natural and heartfelt. Maybe you even attempt Google Translate, which…let’s just say, rarely gives you the poetic, joyful sentiment you were hoping for. It’s enough to make you give up and just stick to “Happy Birthday” after all!

Okay, buddy, another year older, huh? Just kidding! (Mostly.) Seriously though, happy birthday to the guy who bravely walked into our family and somehow managed to not only survive, but actually thrive. We always knew our daughter had great taste, but you really proved it.

But let’s be honest, birthdays are a little rough, aren’t they? Especially when you’re married to our daughter, who’s probably planned a surprise party involving embarrassing baby pictures and maybe even a karaoke machine. And you know we’ll all be there to witness it, cameras in hand, ready to document every single moment for future blackmail purposes. We love you!
