Hey everyone! Dad’s birthday is just around the corner, and like every year, I’m finding myself staring blankly at a card, completely drawing a blank. I want to find the perfect words to tell him how much he means to me, but “Happy Birthday” just feels so…underwhelming, you know? He’s been the best dad a person could ask for, and deserves something way more special than a generic greeting.

It’s not that I don’t *feel* the love and appreciation, it’s just translating those feelings into coherent sentences that don’t sound cheesy or forced that’s the hard part. I want him to know he’s appreciated, respected, and loved – and maybe give him a good chuckle in the process! The usual pre-written messages in cards just don’t capture his personality or our relationship at all. It’s frustrating to feel so much and struggle to express it.
